Find decks for the mode you actually play

This builder does not return one generic list for everyone. It starts with proven deck cores, then uses your selected mode, required cards, excluded cards and (when requested) the searched player's collection, card levels, Evolutions and Heroes.

  1. Choose the goal.Build for regular Trophy Road, the current Ultimate Champion environment or the pro-level Top Ladder meta.
  2. Add your constraints.Use equal levels or load a player, then include cards you want and exclude cards you do not want.

What a complete deck actually needs

Most decks that fail on ladder do not fail because one card is weak. They fail because a role is missing, and the gap only shows up against the one matchup that punishes it. The builder works from a role inventory rather than from a list of individually strong cards: one win condition, two answers to air, a big spell and a small spell, a swarm card, a damage dealer or semi-tank, and optionally one defensive building.

The important part is that this inventory is a normal case, not a law. It shifts with the average elixir cost of the deck. A cheap cycle deck can get away with less because it returns to its answers faster; an expensive deck cannot, because every mistake costs a full rotation.

Air defence is about quality, not quantity

Counting anti-air cards is the most common way to misjudge a deck. What matters is how well each card answers air, not whether it technically can. Executioner or Wizard are strong enough that one is usually sufficient. Dart Goblin, Spear Goblins, Bats or Princess are individually too thin and need a second small card to cover for them: Magic Archer paired with Bats is a typical working combination, where neither half would be enough alone.

Below roughly 3.0 average elixir a single main answer can be enough, because the cheap spirits in that shell contribute and you cycle back quickly. The risk there is a deck whose entire air defence is cheap: one well-placed Arrows removes it. Expensive decks carry two proper answers as a matter of course. Role also follows effect rather than shape: Night Witch is a ground troop but counts as air defence because she spawns Bats.

Elixir ceilings and what “cycle” really means

One boundary is hard: above roughly 4.6 average elixir a deck stops being viable, and Golem sits almost exactly on that ceiling. The often-quoted 4.2 mark is different: it is a tendency, not an archetype rule. Most decks above it are beatdown, but control decks live there too: a Graveyard Freeze list runs around 4.3, and several Electro Giant control builds sit between 4.3 and 4.4. Treat 4.2 as the point where a deck needs a reason to be that expensive, not as a wall. The Elixir Collector is one such reason, which is why it belongs almost exclusively in Golem and Three Musketeers shells, where it pays for the cost curve during the match.

Cycle is a purpose, not a number. You have to play four cards before your key card returns, so the question is how cheap those four are. A 2.6 Hog deck cycles to Hog Rider, Log Bait cycles to Rocket and Goblin Barrel, Balloon Cycle to Balloon. That also explains why Log Bait counts as a cycle deck despite its three-elixir cards, and why archetypes are not exclusive: a deck can be cycle and bait at once, with one of the two dominating.

A cheaper deck is not automatically the better deck. The cheaper it gets, the more it depends on timing and placement, and the more a single misplay costs. The builder therefore does not rank decks by cost.

Buildings are three different things

Treating “building” as one role produces wrong decks. Defensive buildings such as Cannon, Tesla, Inferno Tower, Goblin Cage or Tombstone are limited to one per deck. X-Bow and Mortar are win conditions that happen to be buildings and do not count against that limit, which is why an X-Bow deck running Tesla alongside it is not an exception but one of the strongest pairings in the game. The Elixir Collector is a third category again: it is a building, but a regenerative one, and it neither counts toward the limit nor permits a second defensive building.

Can the builder use cards or Evolutions a player has not unlocked?

Yes, when you explicitly include one. It stays visible as unavailable for that player, but the builder still finds complete decks instead of silently removing your choice.

Are Clan War and Seasonal Arena decks available?

Not yet. Both modes are visible as planned additions and remain locked until they can produce complete, reliable recommendations.

Why does a deck I know is strong not appear?

Very little is removed outright. Cards you excluded and forms a loaded player does not have will drop a deck, and a deck without a win condition, a small spell or a ground answer is not built by substitution. Everything else is ranked rather than filtered: a deck missing one of the role checks stays in the list, loses score for it, and shows the gap as an issue on the result. So a deck you know can be absent simply because other decks scored higher for the mode you picked.

Does the builder adapt to how well I play?

No, and that is deliberate. Deck difficulty is real (cheap decks demand far more precise timing) but it is not used to filter suggestions. You get the decks that work for the mode, and you decide which one suits you.
